A
copper haired young woman, sat upon the window sill in her childhood room. The
snow settled itself upon the still frozen ground. Sighing gently, she turned
around looking around the empty room, that even now after these years it held
so many memories...
Hearing
a gentle knock on the door she looked towards the door “Are you ready miss...?”
she nodded carefully, stepping down the rickety old stairs, seeing the old sofa
being carried out by two of the movers.
To see that sofa being lifted outside towards
the moving truck.
She
recalled she had almost burned down that sofa one time she could not help but chuckle
at that memory. Her green eyes looking over the now snow filled grounds. After
exchanging a few words with the moving crew, which address in Surrey they would
be deliver the furniture.
She
placed her somewhat pudgy form inside the car starting the engine, hearing the
familiar rumble then suddenly... something was fluttering outside the car
window....? Gazing outside she saw some blue haired and white clad creatures,
they started moving around as if dancing. Making small wind twirls within the
falling snow
Smiling
almost sadly she opened her window and said to the fluttering small
creatures...”These grounds have now been returned to you....after the last
keeper passed...and after I resumed the duties of keeper at the age of 7, I can
no longer be your keeper, the abilities I was given are fading....”
The
small creatures seemed to understand as they nodded before one of them said
kindly “You have hidden us well young one....your task is now finished” With
those words those little creatures disappeared when a gust of wind swept them
away....
Driving
away from her childhood home on her way to Surrey she was not able see her old
rickety house become whisked away by the wind and snow.
“I
Really Was That Normal” she muttered
I Quite enjoyed it ...
